Production and formulation of silicone rubber compounds

Heat-vulcanized silicone rubber is a type of silicone product with large production volume and wide applications. Silicone rubber has excellent high and low temperature resistance and can be used for a long time in the range of -60～250℃. It also has excellent electrical insulation properties, ozone resistance, weather resistance, water repellency, moisture resistance, and good physiological inertness.
Reinforcing fillers, vulcanizing agents (or not added initially), and other auxiliaries are added to the heat-vulcanized silicone rubber raw rubber, and after mixing, the mixed rubber is obtained. It can be processed into various silicone rubber products using general rubber processing methods such as molding and extrusion.
Mixed silicone rubber can generally be prepared on a general-purpose rubber mill, while large-scale production is carried out in a kneader or closed mixing equipment.
